Shafik Sachedina is the owner of Sussex Healthcare. Sussex Healthcare is an independent group located in Sussex. The group is mainly focused on caring for the old age people and mentally weak people with Alzheimer and dementia disease. The group offers specialized care and treatment to people with learning and physical problems and people with neurological disabilities. The Group provides this care and support to their patients according to their needs. Sussex Healthcare is on a mission to become the leading provider of treatment and nursing care to residents around Sussex area. It is also dedicated to providing quality care to their patients by a team of well-qualified personnel.
Shafik Sachedina was born in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania in 1950. He studied at the University of London in the Guy’s Hospital Medical and Dental School, where he graduated with a degree in dental surgery. He has practiced his dental skills in London for several years and has acquired considerable entrepreneurial interests and skills in the health-care area. He has also worked as a director in several firms such as Imara UK Limited which has specialized in building; he started working there on January 25th, 1992. He has also worked at The Horsham Clinic Limited in England as the Director.
Shafik Sachedina has also worked at Ismaili Community where he focused on organizing programs and activities in 16 major areas. He is also the one behind the coming together of the Ismaili Community organizations and the Aga Khan Development Network Programs in Central Asia. He has also worked as the Head of Department of Jamati Institutions at the Secretariat of His Highness the Aga Khan at Aiglemont in France. Through his leadership, the Aga Khan and Jamati Institutions have maintained its important role in keeping the community’s tradition of voluntary services.
Shafik Sachedina works in several positions in the Ismaili Imamat Community. He is an associate of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Committee in Aiglemont. He also chairs the Focus Humanitarian Assistance International Co-ordinating Committee. He is also a member of the Ismaili Leaders International Forum. Shafik Sachedina has formerly worked in several voluntary capacities. He has worked as the President of the Ismaili Council for the United Kingdom for two successive terms.
Through Shafik Sachedina leadership, Sussex Health Care has joined with the University Of Chichester to offer a teaching programme; the programme is offered at the company’s training academy in Warnham, West Sussex. Recently, Sussex Healthcare has offered several of its workers a University of Chichester Level 5 Diploma in specialized practice in Social Care.
